Speaking during the visit, Chief Zini led his supporters cutting across several wards in the area, including some former councillors, and formally presented them to the council chairman. He explained that their defection from the Simplified Movement was a well-considered decision driven by their desire to align with purposeful and people-oriented leadership.

Furthermore, the supporters described Bariere as a true replica of the FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike, noting that his commitment to development and the welfare of the people clearly reflects the Renewed Hope Agenda in Khana LGA.
Responding, Dr. Thomas Bariere while receivimg the defectors, commending them for what he described as a courageous and progressive decision.
