Bariere Welcomes Kumuyi to Bori, Prays For Peace in Ogoniland

‎Chairman of Khana Local Government Area, Dr. Thomas Bariere Ariar, on Tuesday, led a high-powered delegation of government officials to formally welcome the General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, to Bori ahead of the 3-day revival programme tagged “Jesus the Life-Changer.”

‎The special reception service was held at the Church’s Camp Ground in Bori, drawing  together, worshippers, traditional rulers and political stakeholders.

‎The arrival of the respected cleric was met with a warm reception, as he admonished attendees on the love of God and the need for spiritual renewal.

‎In his remarks during the service, Khana Chairman, Dr. Thomas Bariere, speaking on behalf of the government and people of the area, expressed the hope that the coming of the revered clergyman would usher a regime of peace in Ogoniland.

‎ He said: “Our Pastor in the Lord, I warmly welcome you once again to our land. We are confident that as God’s representative, wherever you step your feet shall witness peace across all fronts. We believe that by the time you conclude the purpose of your visit, our land will experience greater peace and unity. This is our prayer through Christ our Lord. “

‎The Chairman was accompanied by notable dignitaries, including the Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Barr. Vincent Nemieboka;  Vice chairman of Khana Local Government Council, Mrs. Nugbenekpughi Ibrahim;  Vice Chairman of Bonny Local Government Council, Hon. Alabere Ibinyefagha;  Secretary of Khana  Local Government Council, Pastor Claudius  Yeekpa Israel;  Chief of Staff, Dr. Daniel Dorka; and the Khana LGA Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Barile Ebenezer.
