Arsenal vs Norwich: My double a dream come true – Nketiah

Arsenal youngster, Eddie Nketiah says it was a ‘childhood dream come true’ to score in his home debut for the Gunners in the Carabao Cup, Tuesday night.

Nketiah scored twice in the 85th and 96th minutes  as Arsenal came from behind to beat Norwich City 2-1 at The Emirates to progress to the last eight.

The 18-year-old said afterwards that he had dreamt of scoring the winner for Arsenal from a very young age.

“I’m delighted first of all to make my home debut and to get on a score two goals and win the match for Arsenal FC is a great feeling for me and my family.

“I’m just so happy that I could hear the fans screaming my name and it’s been a childhood dream for me and I just want to keep pushing on and hopefully you’ll see more goals and many better performances from me,” Nketiah said

Arsenal supporters during the encounter sung the striker’s name as Arsene Wenger’s side saw off Norwich in extra-time.

Nketiah said he felt honoured to hear them sing his name but added that he wasn’t going to allow himself to get carried away.

“It made me feel very privileged to be welcomed in by the fans like that and it’s a dream come through as I said.

“I just want to keep impressing the fans and making them happy because they mean a lot to this club and they mean a lot to me so hop
