Panic as fire guts Nigerian Senate

There was palpable fear Thursday morning, as fire gutted the Senate Chamber in Abuja.

It was learnt that the fire suspected to be from an electric default started from the technical room of the senate building.

We  further gathered that smoke took over the red chamber of the Senate and thereby forcing senators to vacate the area for safety.

The fire began exactly when the lawmakers were making their ways into the haloowed chamber ahead of today’s plenary.

At the time of this report, no casualty has been recorded.
