Carabao Cup: Arsenal to prepare for Tottenham after quarter final draw

Arsenal have said they will prepare very well against  a possible meeting with their north London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.

While Arsenal could only make it to the Europa League this season, Tottenham are playing in the Champions League.

Both clubs also progressed to the last eight of the Carabao Cup with the Gunners seeing off League One Blackpool on Wednesday night.

Tottenham beat fellow Premier League side West Ham at the London Stadium with Son Heung-Min bagging a brace.

The Gunners have won all their Europa League games so far while Tottenham have struggled in the Champions League.

Tottenham are likely to crash out of the Champions League this summer a situation that will see them ending up in the Europa League.

Arsenal have mocked them, insinuating that Mauricio Pochettino’s men may soon join them in the Europa League too.

The London side  wrote on its official website, “It doesn’t matter if it’s the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup… or maybe even in Europe later this season. Arsenal v Spurs is always a huge game.”

After beating Blackpool last night, Arsenal’s Unai Emery said, “Yes, I knew this rivalry.

“Not like you or like every supporter here in London or for supporters of Tottenham or Arsenal.

“But we are going to play against them in the Premier League or like now in the Carabao Cup and I am going to research a lot of information about this.”
