South Africa vs Nigeria: Finidi George predicts victory for Eagles

Former Nigeria winger, George Finidi has tipped Gernot Rohr’s Super Eagles to defeat South Africa in Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifying fixture at the BFN Stadium in Johannesburg.

Nigeria head to the game after defeating Libya 3-2 in their last game, while South Africa played a 1-1 draw with Seychelles at home.

The Eagles is on top of the group with nine points from four matches, while the Bafana Bafana is in second place with eight points from the same number of games.

“Nigeria is playing with lots of confidence and I believe they’ll win on Saturday,” Finidi told SportingLife.

“South Africa always wants to beat Nigeria especially after their victory in Uyo – that’s why they’ll fight till the end but the Super Eagles will have an edge at the end.”

The kick-off time for the match is 2pm
