APC fixes dates for Congresses in Rivers

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has set new dates for the wards, local government and state congresses in Rivers State.

This followed the recent ruling of the Federal High Court which vacated an earlier order stopping the party from conducting the congresses.

The last congresses that were scheduled for September were not held due to the lingering legal battles in the party.

Emma Ibediro Esq, the National Organizing Secretary of the party said in a statement on Thursday that “In line with the lifting of the restraining order on the Rivers State Congresses, the All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby notify our Party Members and the General Public that our Party has rescheduled to hold Congresses in the State” .

The specific dates and business of the Congresses are as follows:

1.       Saturday 21st December, 2019 – Ward Congresses to elect Ward Officials

2.

3.       Sunday 22nd December, 2019 – Appeals arising from Ward Congresses 3.       Monday 23rd December, 2019 – LGA Congresses to elect LGA Officials
