Rivers: Eze Otuwarikpo escapes assassination attempt

King of Upata Kingdom, Ahoada-East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze Felix Enene Otuwarikpo has reportedly escaped an assassination attempt.

Monday Oyaghiri, the palace spokesman told journalists that the incident occurred on Wednesday along Igho-Edeoha road while the King was driving to his office.

Oyaghiri said the suspect, who is said to be an indigene of  Edeoha in the Kingdom was arrested by the security details of the king.

He added that a pistol and live bullets were recovered from the suspect who was later handed over to the Ahoada Police Station.

Howver, the State Police Command is yet to confirm the incident.
