Rivers: Youths protest sea piracy in Bonny

Hundred of youths, men and women  from Bonny local government area of Rivers State, Thursday, protested the recent cases of kidnap and sea piracy along the Bonny sea route.

The protesters who carried several placards with inscriptions such as “End Sea Piracy, Federal and State Government come to our aid and save our kingdom” marched from the UTC junction to the Government House in Port Harcourt.

They said several of their sons and daughters have suffered as victims in the hand of sea pirates who rob, maim and at times kill them.

Recent being the kidnap of Thompson Allison, Daniel Hart, Dagogo Jackmay, Sunny Hart and Theophilus Ibiana who were kidnapped by sea pirates four months ago and three whereabouts still unknown

PHSpectator recalls that just few days ago there was another attack leading to deaths in the area.
