Abducted Rivers Council Chairman regains freedom

Chairman of Okrika Local Government Area, in Rivers State, Chief Phelimon Iwoloma Kingoli, who was abducted last week (Tuesday) by unknown gunmen has been freed.

PHspectator reports that Kinggoli was rescued Tuesday night in a covert operation by  operatives of the Anti Kidnapping Unit of the Rivers State Police Command.

Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the release of the council boss to newsmen, Wednesday.

SP Omoni said the chairman who has been taken to the Hospital will soon be reunited with his family.
