A youth leader in Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State, Comrade Kingsley Dimkpa has lauded the State Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources, Dr. Peter Medee for procuring a 5033KVA transformer for Borobara Community in the area.
Dimkpa who is the Tai LGA Coordinator of National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, also urged youths of the community to own up the project.
The youth leader in a statement said the action by the commissioner would boost power supply in the area and further thanked him for putting the people first.
He used the medium to applaud the commissioner for his apt disposition in the recent review of the Petroleum Industry Bill which when implemented will pave way for host communities to have sustainable and direct input.
The NYCN Coordinator Tai Branch urged Borobara youths to own-up the project, stating that community vandalization is the bane of development in the rural area.
