Police arrest Rivers governorship aspirant, Farah Dagogo

The Federal Lawmaker representing Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and governorship hopeful of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo has been arrested on the directives of Governor Nyesom Wike at the PDP Zonal Office, venue for the screening of governorship aspirants in Port Harcourt.

Who confirmed the arrest said Dagogo was arrested in the governorship screening hall by some police officers and taken to an unknown destination.

Wike had yesterday, declared the lawmaker wanted for allegedly sponsoring ‘cultists’ to disrupt the screening of national and state assembly aspirants at the state party secretariat, an allegation Dagogo had vehemently denied.

Port Harcourt Spectator  reportsthat a magistrate had earlier today, remanded fifteen persons in the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre for alleged involvement in the disruption of the screening exercise  of the PDP.
