Bayelsa: Diri charges contractor to deliver Sagbama-Ekeremor Road before 3rd anniversary

Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, has charged contractor handling the Sagbama-Ekeremor road to speed up the work and ensure completion by end of this year.

Speaking while inspecting the road in company of Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Surv. Moses Teibowei, and other top government functionaries, the governor told the contractor that the project should be ready for commissioning for the 3rd anniversary of the Prosperity Government next year February.

“I want this project ready by December, so we can commission it. You have done well and we are not owing you but you are the one owing us with completion time”,  Diri told  representatives of the company.

The contractor, Setraco has completed all bridges up to Ekeremor town and asphalted substantial stretch of the road from Toru-Orua to Angalabiri, Ofoni, Ayamasa, Aleibiri, Isampou and Ekeremor town.
