Former Rivers commissioner defects to APC

A former member Rivers State House of Assembly, RVHA,  representing Tai Constituency, Dr. Jihn Bazia has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Bazia who is a former Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, also served as Commissioner for  Special Duties in the first tenure of Nyesom Wike as governor of the state.

He was received by Hon. Gideon Deemor and Dr. Batam Ndegwe.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Gideon Deemor said the former lawmaker has taken the right choice at the right time and that doors are open to anyone that wants to to join the progressive vehicle.

Deemor also promise equity and equal rights to all those that are willing to join the winning team in the LGA.

Bazia joins other top PDP members such as Promise Chisom Dike and Ephraim Nwuzi all members of the House of Representatives who recently defected to the APC.

Before his defection, Bazia was said to have been embroiled in a face-off with Senator Barinada Mpigi.
