Enyimba Goalkeeper, Noble happy over Super Eagles call up

Enyimba Football Club of Aba’s goalkeeper, John Noble, said he was excited for the invitation to the Super Eagles as they take on Benin Republic and Lesotho in African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

He stated that he felt happy like every other Nigerian player, who has been invited to play in the national team.

Noble said this in a telephone interview  after when his name was shortlisted.

He noted that his performance in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and continental cup has proved that he can do the job.

“Someone called me to check on line that my name is among the players invited for the AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho matches and I checked I saw my name, I was so happy, I returned the glory to God Almighty if not Him, who am I?,” Noble stated.

He further explained that, he always put in his best whenever he is given the opportunity, adding that he is ready to compete and make sure he becomes the number first choice in goalkeeping department.

“The truth of the matter is that I am ready to compete with anybody, because I have never been played as second choice in my career.

I want to assure my fans I will not disappoint them”, he explained.
