Nigerian coach, Gernot Rohr, has admitted he needs new players in his team, before the 2018 World Cup qualifiers double-header against Cameroon in August 2017.
Rohr was speaking in an interview on radio and monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com, where he also allayed fears his team won’t play enough matches in preparation for the qualifiers.
The Germans says the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches, which will begin in March 2017, will be a good testing ground to help the Super Eagles gel.
“We have a match with Egypt in Dubai for them to prepare for the AFCON,” he said.
“The next AFCON qualifiers begin in March and that will be good for us. We will look for good players to invite.
“We will try all good players and they will improve our team.”
