Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has defied President Muhammadu Buhari’s ban on Twitter.

Governor El-Rufai on Monday posted a message on the microblogging site, disobeying the orders of the federal government on the use of the application.

After the ban on Twitter by the federal government, the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, had ordered the arrest and prosecution of anyone found using the social media platform.

However, El-Rufai, who is a leading member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, posted a message on the banned platform, inferring that Nigeria has thought the US how to treat Tech giants.

His tweet reads: “Based Nigeria: African country teaches US lesson in how to handle Big Tech tyranny — RT Op-ed.”
