
The Forum of Community Development Committees (CDC) Chairmen, Khana Local Government Area, has unanimously endorsed the vote of confidence passed by the Khana Area Council of Traditional Rulers on the Chairman of Khana LGA, Chief Hon. Dr. Thomas Bariere, commending his commitment to peace, security, and grassroots development.
The Forum acknowledged the administration’s achievements in strengthening security, executing infrastructural projects, empowering youths, women, and promoting inclusive governance through collaboration with traditional institutions.
The Forum condemned what it described as false and malicious allegations against the the council chairman and the Chairman of the Khana Traditional Rulers Council, urging individuals and groups to desist from actions capable of disrupting the peace and stability of the area.
The Forum’s decision was contained in a communique issued after its General Meeting held Saturday, 4th July, 2026, at the Khana Council Secretariat, Bori, where the security situation and developments in the LGA were reviewed.
According to the communique signed it’s chairman, Ledogo Precious Nnaa, the Forum also called on residents of the council area to remain peaceful and law-abiding while urging security agencies to sustain efforts to protect lives and property and address the spread of false information in the area.
The Forum reaffirmed its support for the administration of Dr. Thomas Bariere and pledged to continue partnering with the council to promote peace, security, and sustainable development across the LGA.
