Chairman of Eleme Local Government Council in Rivers State, Obarilomate Ollor, has presented official cars to members of the Eleme Legislative Assembly representing all the ten wards in the area.
Speaking at the occasion which took place at the Council Secretariat, Ollor said the cars are necessary to aide them to carry out their constitutional duties.
“I cannot preside over a local government and the councilors are treated shabbily. We are not doing this in comparison with anybody but we are doing it because our people deserve the best”, he said.
He however called on the councilors to continue supporting the administration and sustain the synergy between the executive and the legislative arm in order to attract more development to the area.
The Eleme Council boss further stated that his administration would commission notable projects that would be completed in the area as a testament of good governance.
He said Eleme will deliver all the PDP candidates come 2023 following the development stride of NyesomWike littered within the local government and called on the people to support the Peoples Democratic Party come 2023.
In his goodwill message, the former Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Fred Mbombo Igwe lauded the chairman for what he described as a mind-blowing feat.
He also thanked the Governor of Rivers State for flagging off developmental road projects in Eleme that will in turn transform the landscape and attract growth and development to the land.
He therefore called on the people of Eleme to give full support to the governor and vote PDP and all her candidates come 2023.
